Job Description

OBJECTIVE/ PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Senior Videographer is responsible for the smooth operation of the video editing and reproduction in processing of movie film & video. And the whole management team organization and results.

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONTEXT:

  • Internal:
    • This role works in a fast paced and demanding Video production environment with very little margin for error while simultaneously interfacing with the Sales team, Marketing Team, Photography team and other Support functions. Supervises the operation and the quality, his team, order supplies of equipment, maintain records of all works performed and material used to improve the quality.
  • External:
    • Upkeep with a fast-changing demands of the market and requirement. Constant communication with external /vendors/suppliers

DECISION MAKING BOUNDARIES:

The senior videographer will make operations related decisions which will positively improve video production efficiencies and quality, however, will need to confer with the General Managers on any such decisions related that have financial implication and or related to strategic customers; he will be the advisor to the sales team on technical needs in projects in order to build quotations for clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Internal Videography Dept.
    • Communicating with Videography team, putting them at ease & encouraging them & directing them.
    • Managing the business aspect of the work including administration & scheduling work.
    • Organizing the team workflow and answering to sales team requirements.
    • Act as a team’s superior output quality control.
    • Coordinating with the sales team & trying to facilitate for them.
  • External Customer/Clients
    • Developing good portfolio
    • Building a network of contacts achieving a reputation for quality & reliability in order to secure future assignment.
    • Representing the company in front of clients & suppliers.
    • Discuss with the client work on the brief provided by the clients & dealing with client concern.
  • People Management
    • Facilitates regular meeting with the Videography team to evaluate their performance and assistant.
    • Coaches and mentors Videography team.
    • Motivates the team to grow other than their line of expertise.
    • Discuss with the client work on the brief provided by the clients & dealing with client concern.
    • Coordinates the work of other staff assigned to the project.
  • Analysis
    • Conducts study and analyses Videography production flow process to maximize production with minimum lead time.
    • Analyses Videography production planning and control and identifies new techniques to improve production output.
    • Develops shooting & lighting concepts consistent w/the creative & technical objectives. List of provisions of analysis result (depending on agreed area of responsibility in the production).
  • Innovation
    • Develop creative programs and design concepts that meet the business objectives of the organization and that advance our brand strategy.
    • Supervise and inspire the creative team of vendor partners; generate multiple concepts for a campaign or project.
    • Acquires formal studies and beneficial to work that improve high quality standard concepts & projects.
  • Operations
    • Oversee Videography production process and draws up production schedule and adjust when necessary.
    • Manage the human and material resources as an environment friendly production.
    • Ensures health and safety guidelines in the Videography production are followed.
    • Participates in the planning & production of high profile programs.
    • Delivers all recorded materials including shot-list.
    • Provides operational guidance & consultation to maintain & ensure that the system & device are functional.
    • Set up & operate equipments in advance to check the quality outcome for the events.
  • Strategy
    • Provides inputs into the long terms strategic plans of the Videography production department by understanding the changes in the industry dynamics.
    • Advising the GM in the needed changes/improvements in his department, in regards of market and clients needs.

Skills

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s/University Degree in Television Arts, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in the field of remote broadcasting Industry
  • Computer Literate
  • Carrying out research & preparation for a production shoots
  • Requires a superior level of technical knowledge & understanding of events production & post production methods.
