Job Description
- Assist and support the development, initiation and maintenance of policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
- Collaborates with other departments (e.g., Internal Audit, GHRD, etc.) to gather information of direct compliance issues and reports the same to SCO.
- Support the SCO with alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct by conducting investigative procedures.
- Responsible to review, evaluate and follow up the compliance Issues/concerns are been worked on by the relevant management and employees.
- Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; reports the same to SCO.
- Responsible to monitor corrective action plans recommended by SCO for resolution of problematic issues.
- Provides reports on a regular basis of the operation and progress of compliance efforts to SCO.
- Ensures proper reporting of violations or potential violations to SCO.
- Responsible for the management of the compliance Hotline.
- Support SCO in effective compliance communication program for the organization, including promoting (a) use of the Compliance Hotline; (b) heightened awareness of Code of Conduct, and (c) understanding of new and existing compliance issues and related policies and procedures.
- Compliance assessment, which involves analyzing compliance of laws, policies and code of conduct.
- Analyze all relevant compliance related reports (internal or external findings).
- Support implementation of compliance related training / awareness initiatives.
- Uses innovative solutions to facilitate not just a process but a mindset change or improvement at multiple functional levels.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business Management/ Business Administration or BCL is a must.
- A Professional Certified by a reputed awarding body in corporate and regulatory compliance is preferred.
- 8 to 10 of years’ experience and out of which 2 years in a similar organization such as ABA is a must.
- Fluent in English and Arabic (written and oral).
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Shows an interest in industry bodies and a willingness to contribute and share knowledge.
- Good drafting skills and the ability to interpret business processes into legally sound documents.
- Able to interact confidently with senior executives.
- Focused individual who is able to execute effectively, planning own outputs and meet specified deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, professional, diplomatic, cordial and collaborate sensitively with others.
- Ability to influence and build good relationships at all levels in order to effectively carry out responsibilities.
- Be able to conduct meetings and presentations skilfully.
- Ability to draft high quality communication material.
