Retail Application Administrator

OBJECTIVE

The position providing support to management and operations by overseeing Gold application. providing techno functional assistance to plan, develop and control all hardware and Gold software IT related aspects to the Store for medium to long term. Ensures compliance with division and ABA IT policy and all regulatory requirements .To secure and ensure business continuity of operations by avoiding any system breakdown which could expose the risk of division closure and a loss up to 200,000 QAR/day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in determining the appropriate IT projects. (All new implementations, up-gradations, promotions/offers, custom modifications,  creation of reports)
• Setting up Servers for Stores.
• He is required to be updated on the latest technology of the industry and Gold application.
• He maintains and controls all aspects of Store point-of –scale software and hardware
• Ensuring the smooth working of Database.
• Generating Reports on Inventory and Suppliers.
• Participating in the Store Stock-take in multiple levels ( System preparation, Hardware maintenance, Stock-take system support),
• He evaluates new hardware and software solutions as needed to support new technologies and growth.
• Imparting basic and advance training in Hardware and Networking.
• Keep all documentation up to date as well as to create new documentation for any new procedures
• Assists in the training of stakeholders and users on any new procedures or technologies.
• Review all recommended changes to the stores from an IT perspective and recommend operations or equipment changes to the stores as appropriate.
• Creating items in the system and performing price changing and all data updates.
• Build alert on Stocks and any other requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or a related field.
• 6 years related experience in information Technology field of which supervisory level should be 1 years.
• Hands on experience on Gold application - 3 years.
• Good communication skills (English)
• Ability to work through problems independently.
• Ability to comprehend and document technical issues with an attention in detail.
• Ability to create intuitive technical and non-technical documentation.
