Job Description
- Coordinates with equipment supplier in solving major electronic issues
- Ensure smooth functioning of the production equipment.
- Ensure all Electrical Safety guidelines are imposed accordingly.
- Online troubleshooting of Programmable Logic controls.
- Modifications of controls whenever needed.
- Programming, calibration of all Electrical/ Electronic components and instruments.
- Documenting all software modification both hardware and software.
- Compiling all monthly preventive maintenance jobs.
- Assigning jobs for other electrical technicians
- Maintain high performance of all equipment and machineries abiding with the safety programs and policy of the company
- Gathers and analyses data to provide information towards making short term operational decisions of the department
- Provides training and support to other electrical technicians
- Provides recommendation of innovative solutions to next level in order to facilitate change or improvement
Skills
- A Degree in Automation Engineering / Industrial Electrical & Electronics Engineering is a must.
- Minimum of 8 years work experience with minimum 2 years in a similar role in a highly automated water bottling line and Carbonated Soft drinks manufacturing plant is a must.
- Experience in Operations and Troubleshooting of PLCs, Frequency Drives, SCADA, HMI programming and other Automation Devices
- In depth knowledge in troubleshooting of Siemens S7-300, S7-400 and B&R automation are a must.
- Candidate with knowledge in programming of Siemens S7 will be an added advantage
- Language and proficiency - Fluent in English is a must and Arabic is ideal
- Computer proficiency level - knowledge in MS Office suite is required
