Job Description
- Operate machinery for various stages of nut processing, including sorting, roasting, packaging, and grinding (depending on the specific process).
- Monitor machines during operation to detect any abnormalities or issues, and take corrective actions when necessary. Adjust machine settings, such as speed, temperature, and timing, to ensure optimal production quality.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting machinery to ensure proper functioning.
- Identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions or performance issues and report more complex problems to the maintenance team for resolution.
- Ensure that all machinery is in good working condition and complies with safety standards.
- Monitor product quality during the production process to ensure the finished products meet company and regulatory quality standards.
- Adhere to safety procedures and standards while operating machinery, including the use of PPE (personal protective equipment).
- Ensure that all safety features on machines are functioning and that safe work practices are followed at all times.
- Follow company policies regarding hygiene and cleanliness in the production area to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Monitor production output and ensure machines are operating at peak efficiency, meeting daily or shift production targets.
- Keep track of machine downtime, identifying causes and working to minimize stoppages. Maintain accurate records of machine settings, maintenance logs, and production data.
- Report any issues with machines, processes, or materials to the Production Supervisor in a timely manner.

Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical or vocational training is a plus).
- At least 2 years of proven experience as a machine operator or in a similar production role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of machine operation and basic maintenance procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor production processes to ensure high product quality.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic machine malfunctions.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards in a manufacturing environment.
- Good physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
