Nail Technician

·         This role will be responsible for performing nail treatments and services to the highest standards, building a loyal client base, achieving both service and retail targets and supporting the salon management and team in the day-to-day running of the business.

·         To consistently deliver the highest level of nail services to clients.

·         Ensure all services are completed to excellent technical standards.

·         Provide clients with thorough consultation to understand their needs and expectations.

·         To follow all protocols set down in the standard operating procedures to ensure all treatment is carried out in line with UR brand standards.

·         To ensure each client receives the maximum benefit from their treatment, whilst adhering to treatment timings.

·         Proactively up-sell additional services by demonstrating a high level of knowledge of all salon services and products, including promotions and special events.

·         Maintain cleanliness of own work areas and equipment and of the salon and surrounding areas.

·         To ensure stations are set up in line with UR guidelines including ensuring adequate stock levels for the day’s business.

·         Ensure personal standards and grooming are in line with UR brand standards.

·         Demonstrate high standards of punctuality and good timekeeping.

·         To attend company and team meetings and departmental / product training as reasonably required.

·         To undertake any necessary work or engagement in the betterment of the business during downtime such as; cloakroom assistance, reception, laundry or providing advice to clients on the shop floor.

·         Nail Technicians’ works to ensure their guests are satisfied, so that they will become repeat customers.

·         Build a relationship with customers and guide them towards other services or products they offer.

·   High school/ Diploma.

·   Professionally recognized qualification equivalent to a minimum of NVQ Level 2.

·   Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a professional salon environment.

·   Experience in manicure, pedicure, gel and acrylic services. 

·   Demonstrable experience of delivering customer excellence.

·   Excellent organizational and time management skills.

·   Fluency in English and excellent communication skills.

·   Sales-driven with the ability to achieve targets.

·   Sales / retail ability or experience.

·   Ability to work cohesively with other employees as part of a team.

·   A high level of professionalism and understanding of client confidentiality.

·   Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time.

·   Must be flexible and prepared to work weekend evenings and national public holidays.

·   Must adhere to salon standards of exceptional personal grooming, representing the Urban Retreat brand to the highest of standards.
